Quake 1692

Quake 1692 is a custom scenario provided by ThievesHarbor.com for use in the Summer of Plunder 2025, hosted by Blood and Pigment. The Summer of Plunder is a worldwide community event for players of Blood & Plunder, Oak & Iron and now PORT ROYAL by Firelock Games. This global community campaign allows players to interact, share pictures and stories, win prizes, promote the game(s), and compete for glory for their chosen nation!

Quake 1692 allows Port Royal players to experience a small taste of this destruction and chaos – all while trying to score some loot! The Quake 1692 scenario works best as the first game of a new campaign, to set the stage for your crews and the precipitating action. You can find the scenario below and the entire Summer of Plunder 2025 booklet on Firelock Games.

When approached to design the Port Royal scenario for the Summer of Plunder 2025 I was honored – not only that Port Royal was going to be included but that Thieves Harbor was given the chance to come up with the first official fan-made content for the game. Initially, ideas circled around something more simple – an alternative objective or scenario for the game which was developing to be something akin to the “Oddball” game mode of the Halo series, if you are familiar. However, given the aforementioned honors, I then decided I wanted something a bit more historical with a lot more flavor.

Ideas then settled on an alternative way to start a campaign that were something more than “my 5 mates showed up and you’re 5 mates are also here”. What is a more historical event for Port Royal than the earthquake that started it all – and your captain assembling the crew. I hope you enjoy playing Quake 1692 to start your campaign and appreciate the chaos baked into the design.
